Eng. John Kenyi Sasa

Director General

Biography

Key National Challenges Managed:

Eng. Kenyi Sasa's public legacy is tied directly to navigating the complex structural and economic bottlenecks of South Sudan's post-conflict development:
• Legal & Contractual Dispute Resolution: In late 2025, Eng. Sasa spearheaded high-level collaborations between the Ministry of Roads and Bridges and the Ministry of Justice. He successfully petitioned for legal opinions to resolve long-standing contractual deadlocks with private construction operators. This ensured state infrastructure contracts became legally binding and protected from persistent arbitrations.
• Resource and Funding Advocacy: He has frequently and transparently updated the public on economic challenges delaying trunk-road deployments. Notably, he navigated the complications arising from the "crude oil for roads" barter policy when the state encountered oil lift and cash allocation shortages.
• Community Relations & Land Disputes: Alongside budget issues, Sasa has served as a primary government mediator with local communities. He successfully mitigated community friction regarding land allocation and gravel mining resources along the Juba-Terekeka corridor
